Model Details: The large sampler model was stitched on 40 count Baked Clay linen from Fox and Rabbit. It is stitched one over two with Gloriana Silks. The small pinkeep is on 40 count Eastwick linen from Needle & Flax. It is stitched one over two with Weeks Dye Works threads
Thread Conversions: Gloriana Silk Threads, Weeks Dye Works hand dyed cotton threads, or DMC.
Notes: You can choose to stitch this sampler in all cross stitches over two threads or on Aida by omitting the top 30 rows with the over one verse. Any of the thread conversions would look great on either of these fabrics or you might have a favorite piece of fabric you would like to stitch on.
Notes from Wendy: All we know about the girl who stitched this beautiful sampler is her name. The sweet verse is one I hadn’t seen before. I have chosen not to stitch the over one verse on the model, but it is charted and you can stitch it if you would like. Start with row 32, the top of the green and pink vine and flowers band. Stitch counts are given both ways so you can easily calculate the size of your piece. The silk version closely follows the antique with its ghost letters and lighter colors. If you want a brighter piece the WDW colors as shown in the pinkeep are a great choice.
