STORY BEHIND THE ‘NEEDLECASE NOTEBOOK’
In a small wooden house lived a stitcher who kept her finest needles in a book of
ivory linen.
Upon its cover, she embroidered two proud birds, a crown, and flowers in a
single shade of deep red. The villagers believed the red thread carried love from
one generation to the next. So whenever a daughter began her first sampler, the
little needle book was placed gently in her hands.
Years passed, fabrics faded, and fashions changed, yet the red birds continued
to guard the family’s needles and all the precious stories stitched with them.
